When you have meetings, interspersing those kinds of moments all the time, it gets really hard to just think offline about a problem that you’re exploring. Or walking my kids to school or something like that. Sometimes it’s me riding my bike, sitting alone, not being interrupted. Sometimes getting in a state of flow with design and creative work actually means you’re not doing any from the outside lens, traditional design work. To get in a state of flow with creative work, sometimes you need to step back from traditional design work.
